Set in and around a signature 18 hole Par 72 Golf Course designed by Ian Woosnam, (European Ryder Cup Team Captain 2006). The course will have a distinctly mountain feel which will respect and reflect the features and aspects of the surrounding landscape. This will be achieved by extensive landscaping including the transplanting and planting new pine trees and Juniper as well as longer grasses to add definition and character. The course has been thoughtfully designed to be interesting and to ensure that it can challenge and test the lower handicap golfer whilst remaining playable to the high handicapper. This is accomplished by a well conceived and considered design strategy, which presents a combination of carefully placed hazards and lay up areas, while offering opportunity for the more skilled and confident golfer. Although the course is not overly long the narrow nature of the site has meant that every hole plays either with or into the prevailing wind which often gusts down the valley from the West.
This places the emphasis on considered club selection and shot making as opposed to sheer length. Allowing golfers to utilize and hone their skills and shots while providing for a more comprehensive and inclusive game for all. The course features many large undulating greens so that on every hole there is a mixture of easy and well protected pin positions.
This allows every one to hit the green but not always in a position to make an easy par or birdie. Only Members of the Pirin Golf and Country Club have guaranteed access to the Golf Course and facilities.
